Welcome to The Linton Hotel

The Linton Hotel was originally called The Golden Lion Hotel (detailed in 1835 by a local minister) then changed its name to The Red Lion and again to The Bridgend (1980’s) and is now known as The Linton.  No matter the name the welcome is always guaranteed to be warm and friendly.

Situated on the edge of the River Tyne within the beautiful historical village of East Linton, The Linton Hotel is ideal for a those wishing to enjoy the local area.

Our superb restaurant offers an excellent range of local produce.

We take a great deal of care to ensure that your visit, no matter how short, is one to be enjoyed and remembered for some time to come.

The biggest compliment anyone can pay us is to be confident in recommending The Linton to friends, family and colleagues and to, of course, come back to visit again.

Feel free to explore our website, take a look at our menus, read about our traditional bar, find out more information about what you can do in the area, and browse our gallery.  If you want to get in touch with us, we are happy to answer any questions you may have, or receive any comments you wish to make,

We hope to welcome you soon !!
